Chancel Choir

Our Chancel Choir is the Uptown Sanctuary choir that leads worship twice a month, August through May, at our 8:30am and 11:00am Uptown services, as well as for special services such as All-Music Weekend, Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, Easter and Pentecost. This group sings a variety of choral music and is open to high school students through adults of all vocal backgrounds and abilities.

We also occasionally select voices from this choir to form chamber ensembles for special occasions such as the UMW Candlelight Dinner or the Iowa Conference United Methodist Church Advocacy Day.

To strengthen our ministry, we offer a Choir Mini-Retreat in the Fall and short weekly devotions during rehearsals.

We rehearse Wednesday evenings in the Uptown Choir Room from 7:00 – 8:15pm.
