Discovery2012Discovery Weekend is a weekend retreat for mid-highs (6th-8th graders) led by our own senior highs (9th-12th graders) starting Friday April 27 ending on Sunday April 29.  The weekend is full of games, talks, small group discussions, service opportunities, great music and a lot of fun.  Discovery is held at the Christian Life Center during the day, with youth spending the night in host homes with their small groups.  The training retreat for the senior high leaders will be held Saturday, February 18 starting at 1:00 and ending on Sunday, February 19 at 11:30am.

We are inviting back all of our Discovery Weekend Alumni for our 10th Discovery Weekend.  We hope you’ll put on an old Discovery Weekend T-shirt, and join us for a snapshot of Discovery Weekend on Sunday April 29, as the youth lead worship at the Christian Life Center.  You’ll have the chance to hear our youth praise team, Genesis, as well as a message from one of our seniors highs.  We’ll also show pictures and video from the weekend.  We hope you’ll join with about 120 youth in praising God on a special Sunday morning.

Adults are crucial to the success of Discovery Weekend. They serve as small group leaders, help prepare meals, offer their homes as host homes, pray, and so much more. There are roles that are behind the scenes if you would prefer to not be as visible to the youth.  Our mission is to take care of all the logistics so our senior highs can mentor our mid-highs.
