The Christian Life Center is offering a variety of fitness options for you in 2012! Invite your friends and neighbors – church membership is not required.
We are happy to provide childcare for your convenience at your request. Call the church office (964-4249) at least two days prior to class to arrange childcare. Check out our fitness calendar for a schedule of classes and times.
Bootcamp
This class is for the person who is ready to commit to improving their health by including fitness in their daily life. Classes alternate between cardio and strength training. This is a high impact class! Pre-Registration is required.
Body and Spirit
Improve your strength and tone your body with strength training programs. Strength training helps you burn fat more efficiently, improve your bone density, and boost your metabolism throughout the day. Strength training is suitable for all levels of fitness experience.
This class maximizes strength and fitness by using weights/bands/and personal weight. This course also offers the benefit of abdominal strengthening and stabilization through use of exercise balls. All equipment is provided only a mat and water bottle is recommended. This will be an ongoing class that meets every Monday at 12:40pm and every Wednesday at 12:30pm starting April 2. All classes will be held at the Christian Life Center in Room 111. We are offering an introductory rate of $5/first month; $10/month thereafter. You can register at the time of the class. No online registration is needed. Open Walking
Open walking is available at the Christian Life Center, Monday - Friday from 9:00 - 11:00 am.
Drop-In Fitness Classes
Drop-In Fitness classes are offered at the Christian Life Center for only $5 per month. This fee gives you access to a variety of fitness classes throughout the month. Pre-registration is not necessary. You can register upon arrival or click here to print a registration form to bring with you.
Toning: This low-impact class focuses on effectively improving strength and muscle toning. This is a great class for all fitness levels. This class is offered in the morning and evening. Yoga: This class creates a calm environment, which is great for reducing stress after a long day at work! The movements and stretch-like poses help individuals with balance, strength, circulation and flexibility. This class is offered in the evening. Chair Yoga: This class is for everyone and offers a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting in a chair, or standing using a chair for support. Pilates: This class offers exercise to promote core muscle strength improving strength, flexibility, and body awareness without producing bulk. This class is offered in the evening. Cardio/Strength: This class will have a short section of cardio followed by toning moves for a blended class. This class is offered in the evening. Seniors Exercising Together (S.E.T):
Join us on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings for fitness and fellowship! This class emphasizes on increasing muscular strength and enhancing range of motion. Also focuses on agility, balance, coordination, & more while improving overall fitness & sense of well-being!· Registration fee for S.E.T. is $10 per month.
Zumba
Zumba is exercise in disguise!· It is a fun, easy to follow choreographed aerobics class. Routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Pre-Registration is required. Registration fee is $20 for a six-week session.
