Lenten Opportunities

The forty days before Easter mark the season of Lent, a time of spiritual reflection and prayer. We will begin that with our Ash Wednesday Service at 7:00pm on Wednesday, February 17 in the Uptown Sanctuary. Please join us!

Lenten Prayer Initiative

Once again, this year we are offering the congregation an intentional prayer opportunity called "Forty Days of Prayer". During worship, February 13 & 14 or Ash Wednesday, individuals will be invited to come forward and receive a packet containing the names of five households in the church. Those persons will then commit to pray for the five households daily during Lent. During Holy Week, those praying are encouraged to send notes to those they have held up in prayer for the last 40 days. The packet will be brought forward during worship on Easter morning, completing the prayer circle. We hope it will be a blessing to all who are involved.

Lenten Studies Begin the Week of February 14.

• Walk with Jesus on his final day.
• Sit beside him at the Last Supper.
• Pray with him in Gethsemane.
• Follow him to the cross.
• Desert him.
• Deny him.
• Experience the Resurrection.

This is the introduction to the small group video study: 24 Hours That Changed the World by Adam Hamilton. Existing small groups are invited to begin this study starting the week of February 14. New groups will also be formed according to demand. Contact the church office for more information.
