  • Food Pantry Ministry
    Ongoing support for DMARC (Des Moines Area Religious Council) Food Pantry.
  • Habitat for Humanity
    AFUMC, with other area church's, raise funds, materials and volunteer labor to build safe, affordable housing in the metropolitan area.

    Provides United Methodist Church's the opportunity to participate in projects meant to alleviate hunger locally and world-wide.

    Provides financial and volunteer support to New Horizons adult day care.

    Informs members of Ankeny First United Methodist Church of developments on issues pertaining to social advocacy and legislation.

    Our church partners with Trinity United Methodist Church in Des Moines with the goal of blending urban and suburban ministries to the benefit of both congregations.
